The town is home to North Star BlueScope, a steel distributor that plays a significant role in the automotive industry, as well as agriculture and construction. The facility underwent a $700 million expansion in 2022. According to the company’s LinkedIn, they produce over 2 million tons of coiled steel per year and employ 385 team members.
